- What is the award? Certificate and free membership. Estimated value =$100.
- How will the nomination process work? Self-nominated except for the service to ASPBP award, which must be peer-nominated by ASPBP leadership.
- When will the awards be announced? At the annual conference. These will be presented by the Membership and Member Programming Committee.
- What does the application look like?
- Self-nomination: Nominees should include their CV, a letter of recommendation, and a description of how the elements of the rubric are met by the applicant (max 500 words).
- Peer nomination: This is only available for the “Outstanding ASPBP Leadership Award”. Nominators should include a brief description (max 500 words) of how the nominees meet the criteria.
- How are the applications reviewed?
- The MMP Committee and other ASPBP volunteers will review each submission and score against the rubric.
- Two individuals review each award and rank (1-low to 25-max) based on the specified criteria.
- Membership and Member Programming Committee reviews finalists (top 3 based on overall score for each award) and deliberates on the final award recipient. In the event that multiple awards have the same score, all those with the highest 3 scores will be reviewed.
- When is the award presented?
- Winners of each award will receive a certificate, free ASPBP membership for 1 year, and will be featured on our website/social media. Winners will be announced at the ASPBP Annual Conference in October.
- Winners do not have to accept the award and can opt-out for media promotion (provides safety for those who do not want to be identified).
