  4. What does the application look like?
    • Self-nomination: Nominees should include their CV, a letter of recommendation, and a description of how the elements of the rubric are met by the applicant (max 500 words).
    • Peer nomination: This is only available for the “Outstanding ASPBP Leadership Award”. Nominators should include a brief description (max 500 words) of how the nominees meet the criteria.
  5. How are the applications reviewed?
    • The MMP Committee and other ASPBP volunteers will review each submission and score against the rubric.
    • Two individuals review each award and rank (1-low to 25-max) based on the specified criteria.
    • Membership and Member Programming Committee reviews finalists (top 3 based on overall score for each award) and deliberates on the final award recipient. In the event that multiple awards have the same score, all those with the highest 3 scores will be reviewed.

    • Winners of each award will receive a certificate, free ASPBP membership for 1 year, and will be featured on our website/social media. Winners will be announced at the ASPBP Annual Conference in October.
    • Winners do not have to accept the award and can opt-out for media promotion (provides safety for those who do not want to be identified).
  7. Who can I contact about this award? For any questions about these awards, please contact the Chair of Membership and Member Programming Committee, Brianne Lewis (brianne.lewis@cmich.edu)
